P.S.H.E (Personal, Social & Health Education) and
S.E.A.L (Social & Emotional Aspects of Learning)
The PSHE and SEAL curriculum aim to equip children with the necessary knowledge and life skills that underlie all aspects of everyday life.
Both programmes are delivered through a wide range of teaching and learning opportunities. These include designated PSHE and SEAL lessons, circle time, assemblies, visitors to the school and visits out of school. Drama, role-play, class and group discussions, puppets and videos/DVDs are examples of the different approaches we use to deliver subject content.
Through PSHE and SEAL we aim to develop children’s self awareness, build positive self esteem and confidence, show respect to others, develop social skills and encourage healthy living choices. By developing such knowledge and skills we hope children will become successful learners and responsible citizens.
