Design Technology

In DT, children explore a range of techniques, within a cross-curricular theme. They learn how to use tools safely and effectively. They explore the many uses to which a wide variety of materials and products (including fabrics and food) can be put. Children use this knowledge and understanding to design, make and evaluate their own products, including the preparation of a variety of cooked foods.

We particularly welcome parent helpers in this curriculum area. A voluntary contribution is sometimes requested to help cover the cost of materials used for cooking during the course of the year.
